The film’s visual concept drew on classic mockumentary elements from the outset. A very noticeable camera presence and a very natural, flat lighting concept form the core of the film’s visual style. As is customary for the format, the film’s main narrative is repeatedly interrupted by staged interviews. These, in turn, are designed to be slightly more high-contrast to set them apart from the rest of the film. Handheld cameras and practical lighting further reinforce the authentic documentary feel.
