Stoos – a car-free village at an altitude of just under 1,300 metres. Once a local leisure destination, it has become a well-known attraction for tourists from all over the world since the opening of the new Stoosbahn, the world’s steepest funicular railway. What is the dynamic between the tourist industry and the local residents? The documentary features interviews with and follows various residents of the village. A lightweight and flexible camera system was required to capture the key moments under varying conditions. The railway connects everything in the village, making it a striking visual element that recurs throughout the film.
